The Howard University Alumni Club of East Tennessee (HUAC East Tennessee) is an regional club under Howard University Alumni Association (HUAA) that promotes Howard University (HU) as an institution of academic excellence and to create and maintain an environment that encourages alumni participation through volunteerism and financial support for Howard University.
The Howard University Alumni Club (HUAC) of East Tennessee, which is headquartered in Knoxville, Tennessee, is a club that promotes Howard University as an institution of academic excellence and to create and maintain an environment that encourages alumni participation through volunteerism and financial support for Howard University. The East Tennessee counties include 33 counties legally defined as the Eastern Division which are Anderson, Bledsoe, Blount, Bradley, Campbell, Carter, Claiborne, Cocke, Cumberland, Grainger, Greene, Hamblen, Hamilton, Hancock, Hawkins, Jefferson, Johnson, Knox, Loudon, Marion, McMinn, Meigs, Monroe, Morgan, Polk, Rhea, Roane, Scott, Sevier, Sullivan, Unicoi, Union, and Washington. This includes cities including Knoxville, Chattanooga, Oak Ridge, Johnson City, Kingsport, Bristol, Cleveland, Athens, Alcoa, Maryville, Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge and several other cities in East Tennessee.
